With my family we went to the Royal British Columbia Museum to discover British Columbia First Nation’s history.
The indigenous don’t speak the same language because there are many clans.
In British Columbia we can see a lot of Totem poles, they are created by the First Nation peoples. They represent animals or symbolic creatures, there are many totem poles designs. For the first Nations people the totem poles are memorial poles in memory of a clan or family.
These pictures were taken in the Royal British Columbia Museum.
Now, the Totem poles are cultural symbols, so First Nations People continue to create new totem poles.
